DIY Cashew Butter Recipe

Rich, creamy, and naturally sweet – no additives needed!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raw organic cashews

  • Optional:

    • ¼ tsp salt (for flavor)

    • 1–2 tsp neutral oil (only if needed for creaminess)

    • 1 tsp maple syrup or honey (for a hint of sweetness)

    • ½ tsp cinnamon or vanilla extract (for a fun twist)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (optional, but enhances flavor). Spread cashews on a baking sheet and roast for 10–12 minutes, tossing halfway. Let cool slightly.

  2. Add cashews to a high-speed food processor or blender.

  3. Blend on high, scraping down the sides as needed. This will take 5–10 minutes, and the texture will go from crumbs → paste → creamy butter.

  4. Add oil, sweetener, or spices if desired, and blend again until smooth and pourable.

  5. Store in a clean jar. Keeps up to 2 weeks at room temp or longer refrigerated.


Tips:

  • Don’t rush the blending! It takes time for the cashews’ natural oils to release.

  • Make it crunchy by blending half the cashews, then pulsing in the rest.
